SIP and VoIP

Explore what’s going on in voice communications now – where cost savings can be found, overview of SIP Trunking and VoIP / Unified Communications, and how to benefit from the evolution of voice services delivered over the Internet.

The move to SIP Trunking is rapidly accelerating throughout the world and many Telco's have set end of life dates for their traditional telephone network infrastructure. As examples, AT&T's transition year is 2020, and Switzerland's Swisscom is transitioning right now in 2017.  While Canada is somewhat lagging, many businesses here are already adopting SIP trunking.  The result is dramatically lower land line costs, and increased flexibility and capability by using the Internet for multi-media communication. This is the time to learn and prepare.

The content is intended to be a general overview and is not highly technical.

Live Events

Watch for additional live events.  We will repeat our dBm Dial Tone event later this year.  We held the inaugural Dial Tone event on May 31.  It confirmed that there is interest and value in learning about SIP and VoIP.  Many hear about VoIP, in particular, but do not fully understand what it's all about.  Few are aware of SIP and how much all-IP networks will impact voice communications, and how they are benefiting businesses right now.
We also had a guest speaker, Heather Pauls, of HPCI Consulting Inc. share tips for reducing mobility costs.

Everyone learned a lot and all went home with swag bags.
